The best goal is to aim for a total of about 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week.  However, if you haven’t been very active recently, you can start out with 5 or 10 minutes a day and work up to more time each week.

		<description>the drugs may be a bit harsh but they do make life so very much easier to deal with! been on metformin for about 12 years now! just added insulins about 4 years ago.

You can go very very low carb food plan and quadruple your exercise regime and you may be able to put off taking the drugs for several years.

type 2 diabetes is unfortunately progressive. It progresses as it will with no reguard to how much you are fighting it. Very tight food plan, medications, heavy exercise 7 days a week don't always work to slow it down.

read this site first then go to the forum on the next site for food planning help as there are several people there who have successfully done only diet and exercise to control the glucose issues.
